Painting has an integral influence on the palette and tone of her work, she employs color to influence the mood of a space and help convey emotion and narrative. Jessie fell in love with production design as is it brings together her love of storytelling, composition, color, interior architecture, fabric & light and she loves to collaborate with other artists.

Jessie’s approach to production design is characterized by her meticulous attention to detail and her ability to create immersive, internally cohesive worlds for each production, taking care to create distinctive aesthetics for each character by creating unique personality for the spaces they inhabit. Her dedication to control and precision in the creative process ensured that her productions form a unique, cohesive, visually striking theatrical world. She believes that each space has an important role in the story telling of the piece and every decision down to the colors, textiles and objects all have a role to play in telling that story.
